Client Name: Homes for Lambeth

Service: In conjunction with C3 Alliance, produced a report for the client to assess whether their single sourced tender represents value for money against set criteria.

Benefit: We reviewed the information and identified that the cost of the building is higher than expected.  Using our experience, we identified elements of the project where it was showing a higher cost than expected, and advised what may be causing it.  This enabled the client to review with the contractor, providing a tool for negotiation or consideration of alternative procurement options if needed. 

We also used our vast experience in tendering to identify areas in the contractor’s proposals adding risk of cost escalations at a later date. We suggested revisions to either reduce or eliminate the risk.

Finally, we have suggested things which could be done in terms of surveys and reports which would not add significant time to the programme but substantially de-risk the project.
